Latest Updates from Our Project:

Zines Printed! (and Address Lock)
about 1 month ago – Mon, Sep 13, 2021 at 10:06:17 PM

Hey All,

Sorry about the lack of communication lately, I ran into some delays while getting the final print runs ready to go. But that's all taken care of now! I've placed the order and they should be printed and on their way to the distributors this week.

With that in mind I'm going to lock down the shipping addresses in backerkit shortly. The email notification should be going out soon, and you'll have 48 hours to update or change your shipping address if necessary.

If you don't have access to the backerkit survey anymore, use the "Lost your survey?" function on the BackerKit project page at https://napoh.backerkit.com/. If you have any other issues, please let me know.

Thanks,

David

Proofs Are In!
2 months ago – Mon, Aug 16, 2021 at 10:17:34 PM

Proofs!

The print proofs from Mixam have arrived and they look great!

Apologies for the poor lighting.

There are a few minor corrections I need to make before the full print run, but I'm pretty pleased with how they look as well as the paper weight and finish.

If anyone has found any other typos or issues please let me know. There's still a small window to fix them, but it's closing quickly as I plan to place the print order soon.

Digital Copies

If you missed the prior update, digital copies have been delivered! Check your inbox for an email from backerkit with an itch.io link to download NAPOH, the player handouts, and the amazing soundtrack!

If you haven't gotten an email, make sure you've filled out the backerkit survey. If you're still having issues, let me know.

Thanks everyone,

David

Not A Place Of Honor Digital Release!
3 months ago – Thu, Aug 12, 2021 at 03:48:15 AM

It's finally here!

Everyone should be receiving emails from Backerkit with itch.io download link which includes:

  • The full 36 page PDF as spreads or singles, in a high quality or small file size version.
  • The "Aural Awareness Activation Package" or "Music To End The World To" album by Gary Sevison
  • Printer friendly player handouts for each artifact.
  • A text only epub.

The game is also live on itch for anyone who missed the kickstarter but wants to pick up a copy: https://awkwardturtle.itch.io/napoh

Please enjoy, and let me know how you like everything!

I should be receiving the proofs soon, so if you find any errors there's still a small window to fix things.

Thanks for everyone's support to get here!

David

PS - If you haven't received an email, first check to see if you filled out your survey. If you're still having issues, let me know.

PDF Nearly done, Proofs Being Ordered, Surveys Locking Soon!
3 months ago – Sun, Aug 08, 2021 at 10:21:25 PM

Hello All,

The PDF is nearing completion: going through final editing, typo checking, and such. I'm very happy with how everything is coming together, and I can't wait until everyone can see it! I'll be ordering proofs from Mixam soon, in order to catch any issues before we do the full production run.

In order to distribute the PDF as soon as possible after it's done, I'll be locking the surveys within the next couple days. You will still be able to update your shipping address prior to shipping, however it does mean you should complete your survey if you haven't done so yet.

If you can't find the original email, visit https://napoh.backerkit.com/ and use the "Lost your survey?" box. If you're still having issues message me and I'll see what I can do on my end.

Thanks for you patience and support everyone, we're in the home stretch!

Quick Progress Update!
3 months ago – Wed, Jul 21, 2021 at 06:45:08 PM

Hello All,

It's been a bit since the last update so I wanted to check in and let everyone know where the project stands. We've made a ton of progress and it's really exciting to see the project come together into a cohesive whole.

I've got everything together into roughed layout currently, all spreads are "content complete" with the exception of two which are waiting for pictograms and the cover which is TBD. I'm in the process of finalizing the text with edits and proofreading, and then will begin the process of adding filters and textures to make the digital and physical components blend properly into a single cohesive look.

I'm not previewing anything in this update in the hope that I'll get to share the entire PDF soon!

Thanks for all your support,

David
